At Least 1332 Muslims Were Killed in July

The month of July was another bloody month for the world’s Muslims. July 2018 saw the killing of at least 1332 Muslims by ‘Muslims’, non Muslims and unknown entities. 801 civilians were also injured in the month under review.
There was an attack on every single day except for the 21st.
Of the 1332 Muslims that were killed, 647 (48.6%) were confirmed to be civilians, 381 (28.6%) were combatants and 304 (22.8%) were unspecified. The details of the killings are giving in the chart below.

Attacks on civilian targets
There were 34 confirmed attacks on civilian targets. These targets included residential buildings, mosques, markets, rallies and water stations. 11 of those attacks were carried out by Saudi Arabia, the highest number by any particular entity.
Deadliest
day
The deadliest day in
July was the 25th, multiple attacks in Syria resulted in the death
of 291 Muslims i.e. 21.8% of the total deaths for the month, and the attack was
carried out by ISIS (Daesh). Of the 291 killed, 246 were civilians and local
vigilantes.
Most
struck country
The most struck country
was Iraq, the country which has been grappling with security challenges since
its invasion by America and Britain in 2003 witnessed 14 attacks by both
government forces and foreign entities.
Kills
by extremists groups
Extremist groups killed
the highest number of Muslims killing 826; this represents 62% of the total
kills. ISIS (Daesh) was the most prolific in civilian kills killing a total of
528 civilians; this represents 81.6% of all civilian deaths. The extremist groups who carried out attacks in the month of July are: Daesh, Alqaeda, Taliban, Boko Haram JNIM, Al Shabab and Khalid bin Al Walid Army.
Unclaimed attacks
There were also 14 attacks that were not claimed by any entity, these attacks led to 70 deaths and 125 injuries mostly civilians.
