On
2nd December, Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that as many as 206
civilians were killed in the air raids on Dayr al-Zawr last month. There were
77 people under the age of 18 among the fatalities in addition to 57 female
victims. The US-led air raids also resulted in the injury of hundreds of
civilians, some of whom suffered permanent disabilities and had to have their
limbs amputated.
On November 13, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the airstrike by the so-called US-led coalition that killed at least 60 civilians.
The ministry, in two separate letters, addressed to United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres and the former rotating president of the UN Security Council Ma Zhaoxu, called on the Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities and stop US-led aerial assaults.
Meanwhile, fresh evidence has continued to emerge showing western support for terror groups in Syria; including ISIS.
On 6th December, the Syrian army discovered Israeli-made weapons as well as a considerable amount of Israeli and US-made medical supplies from two positions of foreign-sponsored militants in the country's southwestern provinces of Rif Dimashq and Quneitra.
Syria’s official news agency SANA reported that the Syrian army in a clean-up operation near Nasib village on Tuesday (11th December 2018) uncovered huge caches of American made ammunition and explosives.
The weapons included 14.5mm heavy machine guns, mortars, tank shells, American BGM-71 TOW anti-tank missiles, rocket-propelled grenades, improvised explosive devices, detonators, automatic assault rifles as well as infantry combat vehicles.
