At Least 1169 Muslims Were Killed in November
November was the bloodiest month in
recent times for Muslims. The month saw a sharp increase in Muslim deaths from
663 in October to 1169 in November; a 76.3% rise.
There number of injured
however decreased from 1451 in October to 691 in November; a 110% decrease. Of
the 1169 Muslims that were killed, 733 (62.7%) were combatants and 408
(34.9%) were civilians.
America killed the highest number of Muslims in
November with 246 kills; a 68.5% increase from October. It is the second month
in a row America has killed the most number of Muslims in a month. In October,
America killed 146 Muslims; the highest for that month.
A bombing targeting restaurant in Iraq was not claimed by any entity, 3 people were but, this blog was not able to acertain their identities (i.e. whether they were civilians or combatants).
This blog did not
record any attacks on six days in November; they are: 1st, 16th,
21st, 28th, 29th and 30th.

Deadliest Day
The deadliest day for Muslims in the
month of November was the 12th. 168 Muslims were killed on this day;
the deaths resulted from four incidences in four different countries: a bombing
in Mali, Israeli airstrikes in Palestine, a bombing in Afghanistan, and clashes
between Yemeni forces and the Saudi coalition in Yemen which killed 149 people.
Civilian casualties
There was a 79.7% rise in the number of
civilians killed in November. 408 civilians were killed compared to 227 in
October, 34.9% of all deaths in November were civilians. Another 387 civilians
were injured, this represents 56% of all the injured. America killed the
highest number of Muslim civilians in November killing no fewer than 246.
Combatant Casualties
Death among combatants has also
continued to surge. Of the 1169 Muslims who were killed in November, 733
(62.7%) were combatants; another 278 combatants were injured. Yemeni forces in
Yemen killed the highest number of combatants in their continued battled
against the invasion by Saudi forces and loyalists.
Kills By Countries
652 (55.77%) Muslims were killed by
countries. Of this figure, 325 (50.3%) were civilians. Countries killed at
least 312 civilians with America taking the largest number of civilian lives.
Of the 312 civilians that were killed by countries, America was responsible for
78.8% of them. The deadliest attack by a country came on 13th Novemeber when
American airstrikes on a town in Syria killed no fewer than 60 civilians.
Countries that took Muslim lives in the month of November are: America, Turkey,
Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Syria, Israel, Egypt, Afghanistan, India, Iraq and
Somalia.
Kills By Armed Groups
Armed groups were responsible for 412
(35.2%) Muslim deaths for the month. The Taliban killed the most number of Muslims
among armed groups with at least 200 kills and 13 injuries. It is the third
time in five months the Taliban has killed the most number of Muslims among
groups, and the second month in a row. The Taliban killed 290 Muslims in August
and 89 in October. The deadliest attack by an armed group came on 9th November.
Bombings targeting a hotel and a busy street took 39 civilian lives leaving 40
others injured. The armed groups that killed Muslims in November were: Taliban,
Saudi mercenaries, Al Shabab, Boko Haram, Ansarullah movement, Hashd al-Sha’abi
and an Al qaeda ally.
Unclaimed Attacks
There were 11 unclaimed attacks across
the Muslim world in November, this attacks led to 105 deaths and 247 injuries.
76 (72.3%) of those killed in such attacks were civilians. The deadliest
unclaimed attack came on 20th Novemeber. A bombing at a Maulud Nabiyy
celebration killed 55 people and wounded over 80 others; they were all reported
to be civilians. There was 1 unclaimed attack in Syria, 2 Pakistan, 4 in Iraq
and 4 in Afghanistan.
Most Struck Country
The most struck country for the month
of November was Syria, the small Arab nation witnessed 13 attacks. These
attacks led to 245 deaths; 186 of which were civilians and were killed in
American airstrikes. Afghanistan was the most struck country in October.
