At Least 1040 Muslims Were killed in June
The month of June was yet another bloody month for Muslims. A total of 1040 Muslims were killed with another 790 left injured. 503 (48.37%) of those killed were combatants, 537 (51.64%) were civilians and the identity of one victim was not verified at the time of the writing of this report.
Also, 735 (93.04%) of the injured were civilians while 55 (approximately 7%) of the injured were combatants.
This blog did not record any attacks on the 12th and the 25th.

Deadliest Day
The deadliest day in the month of June was the 9th, a total of 189 Muslims were killed on that day. Attacks by unknown entities in Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Mali, and Lebanon resulted in 185 deaths while security forces in Sudan killed 4 Muslims. All the victims were civilians.
Civilian Casualties
As is common with other months, most of the victims were civilians. Civilians made up 537 (51.64%) of the dead and 735 (90.04%) of the injured. Most of the civilian casualties were victims of attacks by unknown entities. 314 (58.47%) of the civilians were killed in attacks by unknown entities, all 122 Muslims injured in such attacks were civilians.
Combatant Casualties
Among the casualties for the month were combatants fighting for different groups and countries. A total of 16 entities were involved killings in June. 503 (48.37%) of those killed were combatants while 55 (approximately 7%) of the injured were combatants. Most of the combatant casualties belonged to militant groups in Syria (HTS, Red Brigade, Al Nusra, and some Daesh elements). The Syrian government killed no fewer than 173 militants in June.
Kills by Countries
552 (53.07%) of all casualties were victims of attacks by governments. The Syrian government killed the highest number of Muslims in the month of June, 173 militants and 7 civilians (total of 180 or 17.31% of all civilian casualties). 15 civilians were also left injured in attacks by the Syrian government. The deadliest attack by a country came on the 3rd when Sudanese forces violently broke a sit-in, the violence led to the death of 113 protesters. Countries that killed Muslims in the month of June were: Syria, Sudan, Turkey, Yemen, Chad, Mali, France, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Egypt, and India.
Kills by Armed Groups
A total of 92 (8.85%) Muslims were killed by known armed groups, 58 (63.04%) of those killed were civilians and 34 (37%) were combatants. Nigeria-based group, Boko Haram, killed the most number of Muslims. The group killed 30 civilians in Nigeria and 18 soldiers in Chad republic bringing their total kills to 48. Boko Haram attacks also left at least 54 people injured. The deadliest attack by a known armed group came on the 16th when a viewing center was targeted by a suicide bomber, a total of 30 people were killed with another 54 left with varying degrees of injuries. A total of 4 known groups can be confirmed to have carried out attacks in the month on June, they are; Boko Haram, Daesh, Saudi loyalists, and the Taliban.
Unclaimed Attacks
In the month of June, there were a total of 18 unclaimed attacks or in other words, attacks whose culprits are not known by any name. Such attacks led to 391 deaths and 122 injuries. The deadliest unclaimed attack came on the 9th when unknown armed men raided villages in Mali killing at least 95 people. There was one unclaimed attack each in Egypt, Iraq, Mali, and Burkina Faso. There were two each in Nigeria, Lebanon, and Afghanistan. Syria had the highest number of unclaimed attacks with three.
Most Struck Country
The country that suffered the most attacks was Syria, there were at least 14 attacks by government forces and armed groups within the country. These attacks led to no fewer than 294 deaths and 71 injuries. 57 of those killed and 62 of the injured were civilians.
